Chapter one. 11:52 p.m. The rain hasn't stopped since Tuesday.
Somewhere above the laundromat, a light comes on.
Issue #1 · free-play · points only
Play a free street-hustle game in your browser.
Take jobs, open shops, build gear and trade with street traders to grow your points. It is just a game: points have no real value, and there is nothing to buy.
Under the hood: every dice roll is mixed from a public Solana block code (a blockhash), so you can check any roll yourself. Your wallet is an optional login; it never pays for anything.
Points only. Nothing here has, or can be exchanged for, real value.

How it works in 3 stepsno sign-up, no money
- You pick
Choose a job, a shop or a trade. No sign-up needed.
- The site rolls
A fair dice roll, made from public Solana data, decides it.
- You get points
Earn points, parts and gear. Check any roll yourself.
Nothing is moved or charged. The game never asks your wallet to pay; signing in only signs a free text message, and only if you choose to.
Tonight's newsthe Evening Wire, written from live prices
What this does: turns today's real crypto prices into the game's news, and each story nudges tonight's odds and prices a little.
Jobsenergy in, points and parts out
What this does: spend energy on a job; a fair dice roll decides if it works, and you win points and parts.
Shops & the workbench"fronts": shops that earn points while you are away
What this does: buy a shop that keeps earning points over time, or turn parts from jobs into gear.
Fronts keep paying while the tab is closed, up to eight hours.

The markettrade gear with street traders, at prices you choose
What this does: post a price to buy or sell gear for points; simulated street traders accept when the price suits them.

Post an order
Your orders rest in the book until street traders cross them. Simulation: the other traders are bots running in your tab.

- None.
Tape
Fair diceevery roll, and a way to check it
What this does: lists every roll you made and lets you re-do the maths, so you can see nobody rigged it.

How a night goesfour panels
- Work. Jobs burn energy. Odds depend on the job, your gear, your heat and tonight's wire.
- Launder. Fronts pay points every minute and soak up heat while you sleep.
- Build. Parts from jobs become gear on the bench. Gear lifts your odds or sells on the market.
- Haggle. Post bids and asks. The street crosses them when the price is right.
Questionsasked at the bar
What is this, in one sentence?
Alleyrun is a free browser game where you take jobs, open shops and trade gear to grow your points, with dice rolls you can check are fair.
Is it safe? Does it touch my money?
It never touches your money. The game never asks your wallet for a payment or a transaction; points are not money and cannot be bought or cashed out. Connecting a wallet is optional: it only reads public data, and logging in signs a free text message. Your progress stays in your own browser.
Can I win anything real?
No. Alleyrun is free-play. Points, parts and gear exist only in your browser and cannot be bought, sold, withdrawn or exchanged for anything of value. There is no token in the game and no wagering.
Why use a blockhash for dice?
A mainnet blockhash cannot be predicted before its block exists, and anyone can look it up afterwards with getBlock. Mixing it with your player ID and a counter through SHA-256 gives rolls you can recompute yourself.
What does the wallet do?
It is your ID. You sign a short message, the site checks the Ed25519 signature in your browser, and your save is tied to that address. The dossier reads your public balance and token accounts to flavour your character. No transaction is ever requested.
Is the black market real?
The order book and matching engine are real code running in your tab, with price-time priority. The other traders are simulated bots; their reference price moves with the live SOL price. Nothing leaves your browser.
Where is my progress kept?
In your browser's local storage, under your player ID. Export a signed save to keep a copy or move it to another browser.
Glossary: the few technical words
- Blockhash
- A code the Solana network prints with every new block. Nobody can guess it in advance, so it makes a fair dice seed.
- Slot
- The block number on Solana. A new one starts about every half second.
- SHA-256
- A standard maths "blender": the same input always gives the same output, and nobody can steer it.
- Wallet address
- A Solana wallet's public ID. Anyone can look up what it holds.
- Signature
- A wallet's digital stamp on a message. It proves who wrote it and moves nothing.
- Order book
- The list of prices people are willing to buy and sell at.
- Heat
- In the game: how much attention you draw. High heat lowers your odds.
